Arrival/Drop Off

What is the drop off process in the morning?

Doors open at 7:00 for bus riders and 7:15 for car riders/walkers. Do not leave your student standing only prior to this time!

Remain in your car until someone opens the door for them.

How do students enter the building during drop off?

Back doors on Espina side - Bus riders ONLY.
Front doors - Car riders/BIke riders/Walkers
Portables - Cafeteria
Exterior - 1st grade door


During the School Day

What do I need to bring?

  • Water bottle
  • Snack
  • Lunch
  • Basic School Supplies (check with teacher)

What about breakfast/lunch?

For the 2023-24 school year, all AISD students will dine at school using their meal status - free, reduced-price, or paid. To find out more about qualifications for free or reduced price meals, meal pricing, and/or how to add money to your child's meal account, go to The AISD Nutrition Food Services page.

What if I need to change how my child gets home?

ALL SAME DAY transportation communication must go through the office.

Please do NOT call/email/write notes to the teachers.

Changes in transportation must be called into the office prior  to 2pm each day.

Please try to keep the same mode of transportation the entire week.


Dismissal

What is the dismissal process?

Dismissal begins at 3:10 - it may be long!

Students are dismissed:

1st - Bus riders
2nd - Independent walkers (any door)
3rd - Car riders & Escorted walkers
4th - Baldwin Crew

Students may only ride their assigned bus. Family numbers are needed for car riders and parent walkers.

What if I need to change how my child gets home?
