Baldwin Elementary will be hosting our twelfth annual Vocabulary Parade! The Vocabulary Parade is part of Baldwin School’s ongoing effort to increase word recognition among our students. The parade concept is based on Debra Frasier’s book, Miss Alaineus, A Vocabulary Disaster, where a student confuses “miscellaneous” for the person, Miss Alaineus. In this hilarious story, great embarrassment is assuaged by turning this mortifying mistake into a winning costume at the Vocabulary Parade.
The Baldwin Vocabulary Parade will be on October 31, 2022 beginning at 8:15 a.m. The parade will take place in front of the school and the Bowie High School Drum Line will lead the way for us.
We would like every Baldwin student to participate in the parade. Please refer to our Vocabulary Parade costume planner for some costume ideas. Help us make our Vocabulary Parade a HUGE success by helping your child get ready for this fun activity. Help us make vocabulary building into a Parade of Words!
Please join us on October 31, 2022 at 8:15 a.m. and come see your child and the rest of the Baldwin student body and staff become a Parade of Words!
