Participation in the Baldwin Robotics program and the FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL®) tournament challenge will encourage students to think like scientists and engineers by applying math and science concepts to research, design, build, and program robots. Students will research and solve real world challenges and present their work to our community all while exploring career possibilities and developing workplace related skills by working with team members and mentors to overcome obstacles and challenges.
The FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL®) Qualifying Tournament is a high energy, sports-like event in which Teams compete with their peers in presenting their solutions to this year’s challenge (World Class), their robot design, and teamwork strategies to a panel of judges. The highlight of the event is the serious, intense, and super fun Robot Game in which the teams shows off how well they have programmed their robot to complete designated missions on the themed field table!
